Panic gripped residents in Rukanga
village Mwea Constituency after a body of a middle aged woman was found
hanging from an electric pole.
Led by village elder Jeffither Gachibu, the locals said they suspect the woman was first killed then hang there afterwards.
The residents also lamented over the increased cases of cattle theft
in the area urging the police officers to tighten their security by
increasing patrol.
In the same area, a burglary incident was reported at Kaminji Primary
School after the headmaster Henry Gitura and the pupils found the
school’s windows broken and the water tampered with.
Mwea Member of Parliament visited the school and condemned the heinous act urging the police to conduct further investigations.
